Hauglandshella and the Kollevåg coast
Hauglandshella is a small place on Askøy, on county road 562 between Ravnanger to the north and Kråvik to the south. Kråvik even uses Hauglandshella as its postal address. It lies in the western part of the island, the side the municipality describes as open heathland shaped by the wind.
The boats shown here are kept around Askøy and Bergen: some at Hetlevik further down the west side, others at Florvåg, in Hordvik and Frekhaug, in Øygarden and in the city. The typical boat is a small open boat or cabin cruiser for a few hours on the fjord, and some sailboats are listed too.
A short trip away is Kollevågen, a recreational area on Askøy's western shore about 15 km north-west of Bergen, with ordinary beaches and a section for naturists. Beaches like these are where the national rule applies: no more than 5 knots within 50 m of places where people are swimming.
