Tjøme and Hvasser by boat
Tjøme is a low island of 24.5 km², nowhere higher than 78 m, linked by bridges to Brøtsø and Hvasser at the outer edge of the Oslofjord. Tjøme owners list several boats here, among them an open boat, a RIB and a cabin cruiser that comes with its owner as skipper. Other owners are on Nøtterøy, at Hem, in Sandefjord and Stokke, and in Tolvsrød and Tønsberg.
Hvasser, 3.6 km², is the pilot station for ships entering and leaving the Oslofjord. For beaches, Mostranda on the south-west of Tjøme, about 3 km from Verdens Ende, has three sandy coves and a diving board, while Havna on the east side pairs a guest harbour with a sheltered sandy beach and a path to the old Torås fort.
