Kragerø: boats in town and at Stabbestad
Listed under Kragerø are a 15 ft landstedsbåt at Gunnarsholmen in the middle of town, a new mini RIB with a 15 hp engine, and a RIB at a private cabin berth south of the town. More are just outside at Stabbestad: a small open boat, a diesel cabin cruiser and a workboat, with a family open boat at Søndeled and a large RIB at Sannidal.
Kragerø counts 495 islands, islets and skerries and around 4,000 holiday homes. The town grew up on both sides of Bysundet, the sound between the mainland and the island now simply called Øya. Offshore lies Jomfruland National Park, 117 km², 98 % of it sea, with a pebble beach about 7 km long on the seaward side of Jomfruland and a resident population of harbour seals. Several of Kragerø's 5-knot zones apply all year, not only in summer: the inner harbour, Kirkeholmsundet, Kirkesund, Kalstadkilen, Haslumkilen and the passage from Eidkilkanalen to Åsvika. Elsewhere inshore the limit is 30 knots.
