Vøyenenga and the river to Sandvika
Vøyenenga is a residential area in western Bærum along the Isielva. Just downstream, at Vøyen, the Isielva meets the Lomma to form the Sandvikselva, which runs 4.5 km to the fjord at Kadettangen in Sandvika. The river is not a boating route and is prone to flooding, especially around Vøyenenga, so rentals start on the coast.
The nearest pick-up points are in Sandvika, at Lakseberget, and at Gyssestad Båtforening. From the river mouth you are straight among the islands off Sandvika: Kalvøya with its beaches, the Borøya nature reserve and, further west, Brønnøya and Langåra. One local rule to know: motorised boats may not pass under the Kalvøya bridge between Sandvika and the island, so you have to go round Kalvøya instead.
