Tyresö describes itself as an archipelago municipality, yet only some of the listed boats are moored inside its borders. The rest are a short drive away, in Saltsjöbaden and other parts of Nacka, in Stockholm itself and further south at Dalarö, so check the pickup point in each listing before you plan the day. On Tyresö's own coast the natural stop is Notholmen, a small island beside the park of Tyresö Palace, the 17th-century manor about 25 km south-east of central Stockholm. The guest harbour on Notholmen has room for about 20 leisure boats and enough depth for sailing boats, which makes it an easy lunch or swimming break.
