Trollåsen and the Bunnefjord shore
Trollåsen is a residential area in former Oppegård, now Nordre Follo, on the slopes above Bunnefjorden, the eastern arm of the inner Oslofjord. There is no harbour in Trollåsen itself. The boats listed here are private boats on berths around the inner fjord: in Oslo and at Malmøya, on the opposite shore at Fagerstrand and Nesodden, and a few further west at Høvik and Sandvika.
The nearest shore is the Ingierstrand side. Ingierstrand bad, 15 km south of Oslo centre, is a beach with a restaurant, changing rooms and a diving tower; Oslo bought it in 1936 and it has been a protected cultural monument since 2012. Nearby, Oppegård Båtforening's harbour sells diesel around the clock and lets visitors use berths that are free that night, though there is no toilet or shower for guests. Svartskog, the sparsely built western part of the old municipality, has a landscape protection area and Roald Amundsen's home.
Heading north, Bunnefjorden opens towards Ulvøya, Malmøya and Ormøya, and further on to Bleikøya, Gressholmen and Langøyene. The Bunnefjord run is one of the routes in our easy day trips from Oslo, described from the city end.
One local rule matters here: along the whole Nordre Follo shore of Bunnefjorden boats must slow to 5 knots inside a 150 m belt from land, islets and skerries, a narrower belt than the 200 m used in neighbouring Oslo.
