The boats here take up to 4 people.
Do I need a boat licence in Croatia?
Yes. In Croatia you need a recognised boat licence, such as an ICC valid for coastal waters, to drive any rented motorboat or skipper a bareboat yacht, and bareboat charter also needs a VHF radio certificate (SRC). With a skipper or a crewed yacht you need no licence. Read our full licence guide.

Renting a boat at ACI Marina Opatija in Ičići
Ičići is a village of some 800 people on the Opatija Riviera, about 5 km from Opatija and 15 km from Rijeka, at the foot of Učka, whose slopes are a nature park. It grew up around an old harbour arched over by a bridge, once used to load firewood from Učka's wooded hillsides, and its main beach is 270 m long.
A 24 ft motor boat for four, with one cabin, is based at ACI Marina Opatija in Ičići and chartered bareboat by the week.
The marina is open all year, with 283 berths plus 35 dry berths, and Učka shelters it from the bura. Enter from the north-east past the light on the breakwater head; the entrance is 7 m deep and the speed limit inside the marina is 2 knots. For island routes across the Kvarner to Krk and Cres, see our Kvarner sailing guide.
