Gressvik, across the Seut from Fredrikstad

Gressvik lies on the Onsøy side of Fredrikstad, separated from the city centre by the Seut river and reaching from Ørebekk in the north to Rød and Viker in the south. In Gressvik itself a bowrider is listed; the rest are at Manstad and Rolvsøy, on Kråkerøy and in central Fredrikstad, out on Vesterøy and Spjærøy in Hvaler, and in Larkollen.

You can reach a boat without a car: the free city ferry links Gressvik with Værste, the centre, Smertu, Ålekilen and the Old Town. Onsøy Båthavn, with 300 berths, lies in Vesterelva, and Vikerkilen Båtforening, at the far end of Gressvik, has a guest pontoon with power and water. Off the coast, Rauøy is a military area. Keep 50 m from its shore, as passage, anchoring and water sports are banned inside that zone, except at Rauøykalven. Strømsundet and Slevikkilen are 5-knot zones.
