Baldersheim on the Bjørnafjord
Baldersheim is a village in Bjørnafjorden municipality, on a peninsula on the east side of the Bjørnafjord, about 60 km by sea from Bergen. County road 121 runs through it, and until 1963 it belonged to the old Strandvik municipality. An open boat with a 40 hp engine is listed here, and its owner suggests it for fishing, island hopping and trips into the fjords. Others are elsewhere in the municipality: a small aluminium boat at Eikelandsosen, at the head of the Eikelandsfjorden, and a hardtop day boat on the Os side, whose owner can come as skipper.
Tysnesøya lies across the fjord to the south.
Nearby Strandvik has a 5-knot limit for leisure boats from 1 June to 31 August. Everywhere in the municipality, boats must also keep their wash down near swimmers, kayaks and fish farms.
