Vinterbro and the inner end of the Bunnefjord
Vinterbro is known to most people as the junction where the E6 and E18 cross in the north of Ås, but the area also reaches down to the Bunnefjord. Its shore is at Kjærnes, on the east side of the inner fjord, where Kjærnes brygge still stands as a heritage pier from the days when steamers called along the fjord, and Nesset brygge is close by. The fjord's innermost basin, Bunnebotn, is shared between Ås and Frogn.
No boat is rented out from Vinterbro itself. The closest listing is a RIB at Svartskog, a short way north on the same shore; across the water there are boats at Fagerstrand and in Drøbak, and the rest are on the western side of the Oslofjord, in Asker, Slemmestad, Nesøya and Sætre.
Two things to know: the Svartskog owner notes that the harbour there has its own fuel station, and all fishing, from boat or shore, is banned in the inner Oslofjord under the zero-fishing rules that took effect on 1 January 2026.
