Sipoo, Sibbo in Swedish, is Helsinki's eastern neighbour, and more than half of its area is water. The boat listed here is berthed at Sipoonranta, a residential area with a harbour on the Gulf of Finland, right on the Helsinki border and about 21 km from the city centre.
It is a day cruiser seating seven, with a 150 hp engine and a canopy. The owner points out that from here you are soon out in the Helsinki archipelago or heading east towards Porvoo.
Kaunissaari, an island in Sipoo managed by the City of Helsinki as a public outdoor island, has sandy beaches, a nature trail and a guest harbour with 80 buoy moorings. They cannot be booked, so arrive before midday on summer weekends. Norrkullalandet has guest berths, two landing piers and a wooden observation tower.
