Sailing out of ACI Marina Pomer
All the boats on this page are based at ACI Marina Pomer, in the deepest part of Medulin Bay near the southern tip of Istria, about 11 nautical miles from Pula. The marina is open all year and has 294 berths in the water. Its fleet is almost entirely monohull sailing yachts for weekly charter, together with a catamaran and a speedboat that comes with a captain.
Take the approach seriously. The marina warns of numerous reefs and shoals and recommends the main channel east of the islet of Fenera; after dark the lighthouse on Cape Munat marks the way in. The marina answers on VHF channel 17, the Pula harbour master on 10 and 16.
From the mouth of the bay there are three ways to go: - south to Cape Kamenjak at Premantura, the protected southernmost point of Istria, with the islets of the Medulin archipelago around it - west round the cape and up the coast to Pula - east past Cape Marlera and out across open water to the Kvarner islands
