Renting a boat in Podgora on the Makarska Riviera

Podgora lies at the foot of Biokovo on the Makarska Riviera, between Tučepi and Drašnice. An open console boat for up to seven with a 150 hp engine is based here.

From the water you can pick out the Baroque church of St Tekla, from 1626, on its own cape, and the Ijak chapel on Cape Ijak, which once worked as a lighthouse. Above the town stands the Seagull Wings memorial from 1962, which remembers the Partisan navy founded in Podgora twenty years earlier.
