Catamarans from Port de Corbières, Marseille
The catamarans on this page are not in the Vieux-Port but at Port de Corbières, on Marseille's northern edge just west of L'Estaque, in the 16th arrondissement. It is a public marina of about 6.5 ha, protected by a jetty of roughly 800 m that meets the shore at the entrance to the Rove tunnel. It also has a slipway, repair workshops and about 20 pontoon places for visiting boats.
From here the Frioul islands, Ratonneau, Pomègues, If and Tiboulen, lie across the bay, and the white cliffs of the Calanques begin beyond the city to the south-east. Our Calanques, Cassis and Frioul guide plans the week from there.
Corbières is part of the Grand Port Maritime de Marseille. The run south towards Frioul passes the approaches to the commercial port, so keep clear of ships manoeuvring there.
