Krøderen: a 41 km lake from Krøderen to Gulsvik
Krøderen, also called Krøderfjorden, is a clear lowland lake that stretches about 41 km north from the village of Krøderen to Gulsvik in Flå. The boats are kept at Krøderen, at the southern end: 14 ft aluminium boats, set up for fishing, a swim or just cooling off on a warm day.
The lake has traditionally offered good fishing, with trout, Arctic char, whitefish, perch and pike. Ask the owner which fishing card covers the water you plan to fish. At Noresund the lake narrows to about 200 m under a road bridge, with Norefjell rising on the west side.
The lake is regulated, and its normal level varies by about 2.6 m, between roughly 130.6 and 133.2 m above sea level, so the shoreline and shallows can look different from one visit to the next.
