Renting a crewed yacht in Cefalù, Sicily
Cefalù lies on the Tyrrhenian coast of Sicily, about 70 km east of Palermo, below a steep rocky headland; its Greek name, Kephaloidion, comes from the word for head. The harbour is not in the old town but at Presidiana, east of the centre. Built in 1951 to replace the old landing in the historic centre, it has about 300 berths with fuel, haul-out and mooring services, and its shallow depths keep it to leisure and fishing boats.
A 27 m motor yacht with three cabins and its own crew is listed here, chartered by the week.
North of Sicily lie the seven volcanic Aeolian Islands, among them Lipari, Vulcano, Salina and Stromboli. Our Aeolian Islands itinerary plans a week among them from the Sicilian coast.
