Båstad: a trailer boat between Øyeren and Øgderen
Båstad is a village in northern Trøgstad, now part of Indre Østfold. It lies between two lakes: Øyeren to the west and Øgderen, also called Hemnessjøen, to the east. The boat listed here comes on a trailer and is collected and returned at the same address, with a deposit paid at pick-up. It seats six, with a canopy and chart plotter, and the bow converts into berths.
On Øyeren's eastern shore, below Trøgstad, Sandstangen is a 300 m spit of moraine gravel and one of the area's best bathing spots. Øyeren's level is regulated and can vary by more than 2 m, so check it before choosing where to launch. Øyeren also has more fish species than any other Norwegian lake.
Øgderen is quieter, with reed beds and two nature reserves, Kragtorpvika and Kollerudvika. A large share of Norway's great crested grebes nest there.
