What is Ship O’Hoi?

Løvenstad: an inland start for the Oslofjord

Løvenstad is a residential area in Rælingen, some 20 km north-east of central Oslo, with no shoreline. The big water nearby is Øyeren, on Rælingen's eastern side, a lake in the Glomma system whose shallow northern part around the largest inland delta in the Nordic countries has been a nature reserve since 1975. No rental boats are listed on the lake.

The boats on this page are on the Oslofjord instead. Several are in Oslo, mostly RIBs and a small classic sailboat that go out with their owner as skipper, plus a large cabin cruiser you drive yourself. The others are in Bunnefjorden, the eastern arm of the inner fjord: a cabin cruiser on Malmøya that also comes with a captain, and a big RIB at Svartskog, where the fjord is about 150 m deep. Our ten easy trips from Oslo include a run down Bunnefjorden.

Leave the fishing gear at home. Since 1 January 2026 all fishing has been banned all year in the Oslofjord north of the Horten–Moss line, which covers every pickup point listed here.
