Hagan: boats for rent near Nittedal
Hagan is a built-up area along county road 401 at the southern end of Nittedal, a Romerike municipality that borders Oslo. It is an inland place, and the boats listed here are moored on the Oslofjord: most in Oslo, others out on Malmøya. Oslo's shoreline is long, so confirm the meeting point with the owner.
On offer are small RIBs and open boats, daycruisers, cabin cruisers, a flybridge yacht and a good number of small sailboats, many of them with the owner as skipper.
The islands in Oslo's harbour basin are the easiest targets for a first trip. Nakholmen is covered in summer cottages from the 1920s, and Hovedøya lies less than 500 m off Vippetangen, with much of the island protected under Norway's cultural heritage law.
Both islands are also served by passenger boats from Rådhusbrygge 4 by the City Hall, and the Nakholmen boat runs all year, so expect ferry traffic near the quays. If you want to go ashore, our guide to public docks and landing points in the Oslofjord shows where you can tie up.
