What is Ship O’Hoi?
Tvedestrand at the head of Oksefjorden
Tvedestrand lies at the very end of Oksefjorden, in a tight bowl of hills, and grew as the shipping place for Næs ironworks from around 1740. Boats listed in and around the town include an open skerry jeep supplied with anchor, ropes and fenders, and a 14-foot console boat. The others are further along the coast: a bowrider in Risør, and a day boat and a fishing boat in Arendal.

Mind the local rules. The inner harbour, Kvastadkilen, Røskilen and Sandøykilen are 5-knot zones in every season, and in summer, May to August, the same limit covers everything closer than 50 m to land, islets and visible skerries. Feeding birds in the inner harbour is banned as well.
