Staubø on Tverrdalsøya, between two fjords

Staubø is a small settlement on Tverrdalsøya in Arendal, part of the old Moland municipality until 1992 and once a trading place with a bakery and shops. No boats are listed here. The nearest are small open boats and a RIB in Tvedestrand, a few kilometres north, and in Arendal, where owners offer day boats, a fishing boat, a family cabin cruiser and a bowrider.

The island lies between Eikelandsfjorden to the west and Oksefjorden to the east, with the village of Kilsund at its southern end and Flosterøya beyond. Tvedestrand sits at the head of the Oksefjord, and from there the sheltered inner leads continue past Sandøya to Lyngør, as described in our Lyngør, Risør and Tvedestrand guide.

South of Staubø, the water on the inside of Flosterøya, between Kilsund and Furuholmen, is a 5-knot zone all year under Arendal's rules.
