Renting a boat in Sveti Filip i Jakov on the Pašman Channel
Sveti Filip i Jakov lies on the shore of the Pašman Channel, 25 km south-east of Zadar and only 3 km north-west of Biograd na Moru. It grew from the sea landing of the medieval estate of Rogovo, and has its own sailing club.
The boat listed is a motor yacht of about 13.5 m for four guests, based on the village waterfront and chartered by the week.
Out in the channel, Babac has its oldest lighthouse and traces of medieval salt pans, and Galešnjak is shaped like a heart. A line of islets, Komornik, Babac, Frmić, Planac and Sveta Katarina, splits the channel into a western and an eastern waterway, and the local tourist board notes that the channel has some of the strongest currents in Dalmatia. For the islands further out, sailing the Kornati starts a week from neighbouring Biograd.
