The boats here take up to 8 people.

Do I need a boat licence in Croatia?

Yes. In Croatia you need a recognised boat licence, such as an ICC valid for coastal waters, to drive any rented motorboat or skipper a bareboat yacht, and bareboat charter also needs a VHF radio certificate (SRC). With a skipper or a crewed yacht you need no licence. Read our full licence guide.

Chartering a yacht in Betina on Murter

Betina is a village on the island of Murter, 7 km from Tisno, where a drawbridge links the island to the mainland. Murter is the largest island of the Šibenik archipelago and the closest to the mainland. Betina is first recorded in 1423, when eight houses stood there, and the remains of the Roman settlement of Colentum lie between Betina and Murter town.

A four-cabin sailing yacht that sleeps eight is based at Betina Port and chartered by the week.

Just offshore is the islet of Sustipanac, once the site of a Franciscan monastery that served the village. The Kornati National Park begins about 7 nm from Murter, but the local tourist board warns that the Murter Sea in between can bring sudden wind shifts and strong currents. Our Kornati sailing guide covers park tickets and anchorages.
