Gulets from Stobreč

Stobreč is a village of about 3,000 people on a peninsula on the east side of Split, 7 km from Diocletian's Palace, beside the mouth of the Žrnovnica river and a shallow sandy bay. Greek settlers from Issa, today's Vis, founded it in the 3rd century BC as Epétion, and parts of the ancient walls still stand on the north side of the peninsula.

Every boat listed here is a crewed gulet, boarding at Stobreč port or Marina Stobreč. Charters range from a single day to a full week, and one family business sails week-long cruises from Split towards Dubrovnik, calling at islands such as Hvar, Vis and Korčula.

Brač and Šolta lie to the south. In the centre of the village the beach is sandy with shallow water, and quieter rocky coves run to the south-west. Our Split sailing week names Stobreč among the bases east of the city.
