Renting a boat in Split-Dalmatia: the county's islands from Split
Split-Dalmatia is Croatia's central Dalmatian county. It divides into an upland hinterland, a narrow, busy coastal strip below the Kozjak, Mosor and Biokovo ranges, and the islands. Offshore lie Brač with Supetar, Hvar with Hvar town and Stari Grad, Vis with Vis town and Komiža, and Šolta.
A 35 ft speedboat for up to nine, with a 430 hp engine, is listed for the county, and its map pin is on the waterfront of Split's city harbour. That makes it a boat for island days: Brač and Šolta are the closest, while Vis lies about 20 nautical miles of open water beyond Šolta.
