ACI Marina Skradin on the Krka
All the boats listed for Skradin are based at ACI Marina Skradin, below the town on the Krka river, about 17 km from Šibenik. The marina has 180 berths and is open all year. Catamarans slightly outnumber sailing yachts in the fleet.
Starting this far inland means the first and last hours of the week are spent on the river. Heading for the sea you cross Prokljan lake, about 5 km wide, pass under the Krka Bridge, which carries the A1 motorway 65 m above the water, and reach the coast through the Šibenik channel. On the river, keep to starboard: the left bank is shallower. The water here is a mix of sea and fresh water.
Skradin is also an entrance to Krka National Park. From April to October park boats take visitors from Skradin up to the Skradinski buk waterfalls, and a 3,400 m walking and cycling path leads there from Skradin bridge; a park ticket is required either way.
Once out at sea, the nearest islands are car-free Zlarin, known for its red coral, and Prvić, with its two villages of Prvić Luka and Šepurine.
