Marstrand, on Marstrandsön and Koön
Marstrand is built on two islands: Marstrandsön, with its wooden-house town, and Koön, which has the road link to the mainland. A passenger ferry crosses between the town and Arvidsvik on Koön, so watch for it in the sound. Instön and Klåverön complete the Marstrand islands, and most of the area is nature reserve. The town is the base for the Marstrand regatta and Match Cup Sweden every year.
A boat listed in Marstrand is an all-electric day boat for up to nine people, rented only with a captain included. The rest are sailing yachts: one at Kyrkesund on Tjörn, whose owner suggests Skärhamn and Mollösund, and larger yachts in Göteborg, one of them with an owner who can skipper. The sound at Kyrkesund, between Härön and Tjörn, is a 5-knot zone.
