Malme, also called Malmefjorden, is a village of about 500 people in Hustadvika municipality, at the head of Malmefjorden, the innermost part of Frænfjorden. It lies about 13 km north-east of Molde centre and 11 km south-east of Elnesvågen, and its name comes from the Old Norse malmr, a sandy or gravelly plain.

The nearest is about 8 km south in a straight line, at Tøndergård boat harbour in Molde, east of the centre: a 19 ft bowrider for up to seven with a 100 hp engine and a top speed of around 30 knots. There is a fuel pump at the harbour, and the owner asks you to return the boat with as much fuel as it had at the start.
