Radazul, a sheltered marina on Tenerife's east coast
Radazul is the coastal part of El Rosario, on Tenerife's east side just south of the Santa Cruz area. All the boats on this page are cruising sailing yachts at the Puerto Deportivo Radazul, rented by the week. The marina has about 200 berths for boats up to 20 m, a minimum depth of 4 m and a layout designed to shelter it from the wind, and it sells both diesel and petrol, which makes it a practical place to start and finish a charter.
Ashore, Radazul Bajo has the beaches of La Nea and Litoral del Rosario and a coastal path towards Tabaiba. Afloat, the choice is between short sails along the east coast and a longer week south-west along the island to the marinas of the south and across to La Gomera, which our Tenerife and La Gomera itinerary describes leg by leg.
Conditions here are Atlantic rather than Mediterranean: expect swell and a wind that can build quickly off the headlands. Check the coastal forecast from Spain's weather service AEMET before each passage, and leave early on longer legs.
