Porto Heli: a charter base opposite Spetses
Porto Heli, also written Portocheli, is a summer resort in the municipality of Ermionida, in the south-east of the Argolis, on a bay of the Argolic Gulf 40 km from Nafplio. The yacht marina in its bay has become a popular place to winter a boat, and the whole fleet listed here sails from the town.
The fleet leans towards catamarans and motor boats, from compact day boats to large motor yachts, plus a traditional wooden gulet. Some are available by the day as well as for a week.
Spetses, only 6 km to the south, is the natural first stop. Spetses town is the island's only large settlement, and private cars are not allowed within the town limits.
