Sailing from Marina di Ragusa
The boats listed here are sailing yachts of 13 to 14 m in the Porto Turistico Marina di Ragusa, the marina at the western end of the village's seafront. Some are chartered bareboat by the week, Saturday to Saturday. Another goes out on day trips with a skipper, and its owner says the day is usually spent between Punta Secca and the bay of Punta Braccetto, with stops at anchor for swimming.
The marina has about 700 berths for boats up to 50 m, 2.5 to 5 m of water, a fuel station and mooring assistance by RIB, and it listens on VHF channel 74. It is well protected, but westerly and south-easterly winds blow across the berths. To the west, the fishing village of Punta Secca has a 35 m lighthouse built in 1858–59. Out to sea, Marina di Ragusa faces the island of Malta.
