Private boat tours in Dubrovnik-Neretva County
This page covers the whole county, but the boat on it works the far south, from Cavtat and Dubrovnik. It is a speedboat for up to eight guests, run as a private half-day or full-day tour with a local skipper, and you choose the route: swimming bays, snorkelling or the Elaphiti Islands.
Cavtat, 15 km south of Dubrovnik, is the main settlement of Konavle. Greeks from Corinth founded it as Epidaurus in the 6th century BC, and refugees from the town later settled the island that grew into Dubrovnik. Its beaches include Pasjača, Ključice, Obod, Rat and Žal, and a ferry boat links it with Mlini and Dubrovnik. On the hill above, the Račić family mausoleum was decorated by the sculptor Ivan Meštrović.
The harbour sits around a well-protected bay, though westerly and south-westerly winds can still raise a sea inside. For the Elaphites and Mljet by yacht, see our sailing week from Dubrovnik.
