A 1962 wooden motor yacht on Lake Como

The city of Como gives its name to Lake Como, the Y-shaped lake carved by the ancient Adda glacier. With 146 km² it is Italy's third-largest lake, and at over 400 m one of the deepest in Europe. Villas such as Villa Olmo, Villa Serbelloni and Villa Carlotta line its shores.

The boat listed here is a 34 ft wooden motor yacht built in 1962. It takes up to ten guests plus crew and cruises at about 10 knots, with a cabin, a kitchenette and a bathroom with hot water.

Rules near the shore are strict. Under Lombardy's lake navigation rules, motorboats may only enter the 150 m coastal strip to land or leave, heading straight in or out at no more than 5 knots, and may not run along the shore inside it. The city of Como also sets lower speed limits off its own waterfront.
