The yachts on this page are sailing boats for bareboat weeks, based in Achilleio port (Achillio). The village lies in the municipality of Almyros, next to Glyfa and close to Pteleos, in an enclosed bay that forms a natural harbour. It sits at the entrance of the Pagasetic Gulf, where Thessaly's official tourism site notes facilities for sailing boats that are going round the gulf or heading to and from the Northern Sporades.
Two directions open up from here. Inside, the Pagasetic Gulf is a rounded, sheltered basin up to 102 m deep, with Volos as its main port.
