Chartering a catamaran in Arrecife on Lanzarote
A catamaran is based at Marina Lanzarote in Arrecife, between the city centre and the cruise terminal to the north. It has four cabins and two heads for up to eight guests and is chartered by the week.
Many crews head north: it is about 17 nm up Lanzarote's east coast to Órzola and about 3 nm more to Caleta de Sebo, the only harbour on La Graciosa. Southwards, Playa Blanca at the island's southern tip is about 16 nm away.
La Graciosa and the islets north of Lanzarote lie in the Chinijo Archipelago natural park and the Graciosa marine reserve. Fishing from a boat there needs a recreational licence and a separate access authorisation, diving needs prior permission, and within one mile of Roque del Este all fishing is banned. For winds and temperatures month by month, see our Canary Islands winter sailing guide.
